Many of the sports that Sports School offer are improvised to suit the age and ability of the children that attend our childcare sessions. Our age range is Reception (5 Years)-14 years.

Attainment and Governing Body badges and certificates are available in the sports that are marked with an asterisk. We organise early morning trampoline and gymnastics clubs throughout the courses. Our childcare sessions are full of excitement and delivered by our highly motivated teachers.

The Sports Schools and governing body award schemes are designed for those children who would like to participate in more performance related activates within the programme. All of our children will have the opportunity to take part in performance awards regardless of age and ability.

Session timings: 10.00am-4.00pm. For an early drop off and late pick up, wrap around care is available between 8.30am-10.00am and 4.00pm-5.25pm

How much?

Our clubs range from £97-£130 per week or £30 per day. Price is for one child only.

Wrap around care cost is £9.00 per day.

How long?

Sports School holiday clubs are either 4 to 5 day weeks, depending on the bank holiday dates. Parents can also book single days at Sports School, however we encourage parents to commit to sending their children to Sports School for more than one day so that they can experience the true benefits of their time with us.

Medication: In a named sealed bag containing instructions & handed to staff. This information should have been included in the medication box when you completed your booking.
Additional information: During the application process there is a box to complete that you should have included any additional information about your child that my assist our team and also enable your child to have the best possible experience with us.
Spare pair of pants, socks and trouser for the little ones (just incase).

Mobile phones: Mobile phones are not allowed to be used at Sports School but we do understand that if older children are walking home parents may like their child to have a phone with them. Our managers will also have phones on site. The contact number for Sports School is 07831680363.

Passwords: On your childs first day parents will be asked to provide a secure collection password which will be record by Sports School and should be saved on your phone and shown to the member of staff who is deregistering your child each day.

Venue access:

Jesmond Park Academy: Via the Jesmond Park West Entrance at the back of the school NOT The school main entrance.

Newcastle High School for Girls: Via the Tankerville Terrace entrance.

Groupings

Many children who attend Sports School often like to be in the same group as friends. This is not a problem, provided they are the same age; they should automatically be in the same group unless one age range overlaps with another group. If this does happen or there are any issues, please talk to your child’s group leader on your first morning, and they will endeavour to make adjustments to the registers.

If there is a significant age difference between children who would like to be in the same group, we do not recommend children moving groups. This can sometimes cause problems, as some of the activities on offer at Sports School holiday clubs may not be appropriate for the age group concerned. We also ask children to behave respectfully towards both their peers and our staff, everyone’s enjoyment and welfare are important to us. Our age range is Reception (Age 5)-14years with staffing ratios for the under 8s at 1-15 and the over 8s 1-25.

MATHS & ENGLISH CAMPS

If your children would like to attend our maths and English classes at the Royal Grammar School, we are able to collect and drop off children at the sessions if they are attending Sports School at Newcastle High School for Girls. Bookings are live at:
