About

PE teacher Roddy Mackay has been a childcare provider for children during the school holidays since 1993.

The aim of Sports School is to provide childcare for children between the ages of Reception (5 years) and 14 years during the Easter and Summer School holidays.

Sport Schools courses are designed to provide fun and enjoyment regardless of age and ability within a wide range of sporting activities in a safe, friendly and controlled environment throughout the school holidays.

Sports School holiday clubs offer an outstanding level of childcare which is always highlighted by our annual visit from Ofsted

Jesmond Park Academy

“Sports School provision is well organised to meet the children’s needs and provide a good range of interesting and stimulating activities. Staff are regularly briefed about important issues to ensure children are well cared for. There is induction training for staff, at the beginning of the holiday programme, which informs them about safety, managing behaviour and organising activities.”

Newcastle High School for Girls

“The provision you provide is of a high quality, and both the staff and children are safe and happy. The structured programme provides something for everyone. Well done.”
